A simple and fun video experiment involving some people, paint, a Canon 550D camera to capture video at 720p 60fps, and Twixtor to interpolate the footage into slow motion. Created by Diego Cantu for Monica Lara’s photography exhibition.

My very first effort with After Effects for the 10 Second Project hosted by my Digital Media ‘12 class in Hyper Island. This video is inspired by the 3D Room and Audio to Animation tutorials as found on Video Copilot, using the Trapcode Particular plug-in. The Grand History of Content
Digital market Philip Sheldrake and illustrator Nic Hinton have created this infographic depicting the grand history of how content was created, curated and distributed to the masses through the years, from messenger pigeons to Flipboard on the iPad. Do you remember the days of watching MTV on your CRT television or used a PC to get on AOL or log onto the internet for the very first time?...

Another amazing concept video for WESC from the Hyper Island Interactive Art Director class, featuring an interactive tunnel allowing activists to connect with one another with a simple hi-five, and paint in collaboration with other activists in other parts of the world, thus creating the biggest art wall in the world. Kudos to Fernanda Barbato, Julie Raben-Levetzau, Richard Landérus, Vanessa...

This interactive shopping window concept video for WESC is the epitome of what Hyper Island students are all about. The cool cats from the Interactive Art Directors class ( Lucas Lima, Beatriz Areilza, Gustaf Engström, Juliana Oliveira Silva, Marcus Wallander & starring Ryan Pittman ) produced this video for their module Advanced Interface Design, hosted by North Kingdom. They have garnered a...

Brain sold separately
“And When I’m a Man” is a 12 piece, pre-assembly model kit by artist Wayne Chisnall. When pieced together they are just as big as his real life self. The artwork is part of the ‘States of Reverie’ exhibition at Scream Gallery in Mayfair, London. When 3D printing technology matures in the next few years, I shall introduce myself this way to my future mother-in-law.

The Exploring Technology module is here and depending on how you look at it, it can be one of the most exciting yet horrifying experiences in our lives here. The reason for this is because firstly, this module is what seduced me, like many others, to come to Hyper Island after...
